Summer Homework

Hi everyone,

Well done for most of your hard work this term.

You all should have a copy of this but if you don't here is a checklist of what you should have completed on your blog. You will recieve your assessment grades on your blogs within the week. If there is incomplete work there then you will get a U.

1. Make sure you have the following on your blogs:
- Secondary research:
- My research project researching two videos from 4 different genres- analysing content, editing and production. (video format should be on blogs, if there’s a problem see me)
- Miss Macedo’s marketing case studies
- Decade review= review the conventions of music videos from each decade from 60s-10s
- Star Analysis- track an icon and how their career has been tracked through
- Andrew Goodwin’s theory and your ideas for Pendulum Tarantula presentation
- Class notes about ‘Secrets of a Pop Song’ documentary

Primary Research
- Questionnaire and results asking at least 10 people about their opinions on music videos
- Focus group (either video or questionnaire) pitching your initial ideas.

Also start to collect anything you find interesting and worthwhile from the web or other media you think could be linked to analysing or creating a music video, for example an interesting review or a good website. Add to your blog.
